Kim Schrier

Washington - District 08

Dr. Kim Schrier is committed to protecting access to public lands in Washington, where she has been a doctor for the past sixteen
years.

As a pediatrician, Schrier understands how crucial clean air and water are for the health of children, families and her community. She was an outspoken critic of the first Trumpcare bill, and in 2013, was voted Best Pediatrician by parents in the greater Seattle area.

As a Representative, Schrier will champion policies to help grow a clean energy economy and work to protect clean air, clean water, and public lands. She is committed to ending fossil fuel subsidies and focusing resources on communities most affected by climate change.

Shrier joins the U.S House to fill the seat of retiring Representative Dave Reichert, who earned a 36% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.

  In her own words:

Combating climate change is the greatest issue of our time. In Congress I will…protect our environment and create a better world for my patients and children like them across the country. This includes ensuring they have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, and full access to our treasured public lands.
