CarbajalSalud Carbajal has a proven environmental record from his work as a Santa Barbara County supervisor. Carbajal led efforts to pass a climate action plan and supported the first large scale solar project in Santa Barbara County. He has also defended California’s pristine Central Coast from fracking and offshore drilling. In addition to his record as a county supervisor, Carbajal has worked on President Obama’s Local Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience.

In Congress, Carbajal will continue to be an advocate for clean energy and work for solutions to fight climate change. He knows that developing clean energy presents a major economic opportunity for California and for our country. Carbajal will also be a champion for protecting California’s Central Coast and public lands.

Carbajal fills the seat of retiring Representative Lois Capps, who earned a lifetime score of 95 percent on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard through 2015.
